Richard Fahey is hoping that George Bowen can provide him with a fourth victory in the £150,000 Betway All-Weather Sprint Championship (3.05pm) on £1-million All-Weather Championships Finals Day, Good Friday, April 19, at Lingfield Park

The Malton-based trainer boasts a remarkable record in the six-furlong Polytrack contest, having sent out the winner or had placed horses in all five runnings, including three victories courtesy of dual champion Alben Star (2014 & 2016) and Kimberella (2017).

George Bowen heads into Good Friday following three appearances this All-Weather Championships season and the 107-rated seven-year-old gained an easy success on his latest outing in a six-furlong Polytrack handicap at Kempton Park on March 30.

The son of Dark Angel is a 10/1 chance with race sponsor Betway, which makes star sprinter Kachy the 4/6 favourite to follow up an impressive victory in the Listed Betway Cleves Stakes at Lingfield Park on February 2, when he broke the course record.

Fahey reported: "George Bowen runs in the All-Weather Sprint. He qualified for Finals Day on his latest outing - we had to get three runs into him and luckily we did that in time.

"He won very nicely at Kempton the other day and hopefully he can go well in the Sprint. Kachy will take a fair bit of beating, but George Bowen will hopefully be thereabouts."

The trainer also looks to have a leading chance in the six-furlong £150,000 Ladbrokes Three-Year-Old All-Weather Championship (3.40pm) with Charming Kid, who was a comprehensive winner of a Polytrack conditions race over the same trip at Dundalk, Ireland, on January 18.

Charming Kid, 7/2 favourite with Ladbrokes, previously contested Fast-Track Qualifiers at Kempton (third) and Wolverhampton (sixth). The Charm Spirit colt showed excellent form on turf as a two-year-old, headed by a third to Advertise in the G2 July Stakes at Newmarket.

Fahey added: "Charming Kid will go in the in the Three-Year-Old Championship. He has plenty of speed and is a five or six-furlong horse.

"He won well at Dundalk last time out back in January and his form is pretty solid."

Gallipoli flew home to take third after breaking slowly in the £50,000 Sun Racing All-Weather Championships Apprentice Handicap (1.30pm) 12 months ago and the Peter Timmins-owned six-year-old will line-up again in the seven-furlong race.

The son of Compton Place returns to Lingfield Park on the back of two good seconds in seven-furlong handicaps, including when going down by three-quarters of a length to leading Sun Racing All-Weather Mile Championship contender Keyser Soze at Newcastle in February.

Fahey remarked: "Gallipoli was third in the apprentice handicap last year and I felt he should have won that contest.

"He can just sometimes struggle to get his head in front, but he would have a great chance in this event and I would love him to win for his owner."
