Promising three-year-old Integrant delivered a storming run to win the Listed Prix Lyphard at Deauville this afternoon, the first Fast-Track Qualifier in France during this season’s All-Weather Championships.

After breaking from the widest draw in stall 14, Integrant was held up in the final trio by Maxime Guyon while Tour To Paris set an even pace in the nine and a half furlong contest.

Tour To Paris weakened quickly on the home turn and relinquished the lead to British raider Tarroob, who kicked on approaching the final two furlongs.

The closers, led by Angelissima and Integrant, swallowed up Tarroob inside the final furlong and it was Integrant who stayed on best after weaving between rivals to score by a neck. Angelissima took second, with two lengths back to Charlesquint in third.

Integrant is now unbeaten in two starts on the All-Weather and this success provides the Frankel colt with a guaranteed start in the £200,000 Betway Easter Classic at Newcastle on Finals Day.

Winning trainer Henri-Francois Devin said: “We are very happy with Integrant. He came with a nice run and accelerated well.

“The ground has been soft in a couple of his runs this year and after today it shows that he needs quick ground or the Polytrack.

“I have not given Finals Day much thought but why not? I think the fact it is at Newcastle now rather than Lingfield makes it more appealing for this horse.

“He has got the win and you’re in and it is something I will discuss with connections while the horse has a little break.”
